Where MyFitnessPal is genuinely better

An honest comparison cuts both ways. MyFitnessPal has the biggest food database on the market and restaurant coverage nobody else matches, plus a large community. Premium adds coaching, intermittent-fasting tools, and integrations that Calsheet simply does not have. Calsheet tracks calories, protein, fat, and carbs — full stop: no micronutrients, no exercise logging, no meal photos. If you eat to medical micronutrient targets or live in chain restaurants, MyFitnessPal Premium (or Cronometer) may be worth the money. The full market rundown is in our MyFitnessPal alternatives post.

Switching in four steps

  1. Get your data out of MyFitnessPal — the full CSV export is Premium-only, but two free paths exist. Our export guide walks through both.
  2. Open the Calsheet web app — no sign-up screen, it just opens.
  3. Run the TDEE goal wizard to set your calorie budget and macro targets.
  4. Save your ten most-eaten foods to the library and log from there. The whole move takes about ten minutes.

Common questions

Can I import my MyFitnessPal history into Calsheet?

There is no direct importer. Keep your exported CSV as an archive, then rebuild in Calsheet — it takes about ten minutes: run the goal wizard and save your ten most-eaten foods. Day-to-day logging matters more than old history.

Is Calsheet really free, or is this a trial?

Really free: no ads, no in-app purchases, no locked features, no time limit. There is no premium tier.

What does Calsheet not do?

No micronutrient tracking (calories, protein, fat, and carbs only), no exercise logging, no health-platform integrations, no meal photos, no community. If you rely on those, MyFitnessPal or Cronometer may fit better.
